Please be advised that our office will be closed from December 24th until we return on January 2nd.

Founded in 1972, Touchstone’s mission is to advance excellence in the arts and crafts by educating and encouraging individuals to develop technical skills, good design, and innovative expression. We achieve this through an array of media including blacksmithing, ceramics, glass, small metals/jewelry, drawing/painting, and other special topic areas.

Touchstone’s 150-acre wooded campus is located in the beautiful Laurel Highlands, just 60 miles southeast of Pittsburgh, near Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater, Ohiopyle State Park, and Nemacolin Resort. Touchstone is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers immersive learning experiences to participants of all skill levels, including: 1- to 5-day workshops and date night sessions in our seven fully equipped studios; scholarships for adults, veterans, and teens; artist residencies and internships for emerging artists; facility rentals and creative retreats with hands-on studio activities for groups; and, community events, studio tours, and gallery exhibitions for the public.
